E Cable Lashing Clamp Installation:
Terminating correctly is the utmost importance, as improper wire termination renders your aerial plant dangerous. Follow this step by step procedure to accurately secure lashing wires.
1. Place strand between clamp plates as shown.
2. Secure the strand in the clamp jaws by tightening nut “A” to 120 IN-LBS torque (to approximate required torque, tighten finger tight. Then wrench tighten one full turn.).
3. Warp lashing wire twice terminating in lashing clamp.
4. Darw wire over top of strand and place between the collar and the first washer. Wrap only 1/2 turn around stud and tighten nut “B” securely.
5. Tuck end of lashing wire into clamp. Cut excess. End of lashing wire must not protrude from clamp.
